Santosh Narayan Shrestha appointed as SEBON Chair

Kathmandu, November 25 — Santosh Narayan Shrestha has been appointed as the Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). A minister informed that the Cabinet meeting on Monday made the decision to appoint Shrestha as the board's chairman.

Earlier, the committee formed to recommend candidates for the position of SEBON Chairman had proposed Shrestha, along with two executive directors of SEBON, Muktinath Shrestha and Navaraj Adhikari, for the position on Sunday.

With this appointment, the Securities Board, which had been without a chairman since January 4th, has now got new leadership.

Shrestha, who has been appointed as chairman, was previously associated with Nepal Express Finance. He has also served as the chairman of Swabhimaan Microfinance.
