Power disconnections for industries if outstanding bills are not paid in 15 days: NEA's Ghising

Kathmandu, November 13 — The Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Kulman Ghising, has warned that power supply to industries will be disconnected again within the next 15 days if outstanding electricity bills are not paid.

Speaking at a press conference organized by NEA on Wednesday, Ghising made it clear that if the dues are not cleared, the NEA will proceed according to the established process.

He stated, "It is the duty of NEA to comply with government decisions. Even if we disconnected the power supply according to the law, the government instructed us to reconnect it, and we complied. However, as per the government’s directive, if the outstanding dues are not cleared within 15 days, we will move forward with the process."
