NEPSE index falls by 11.24 points after two days of gains

Kathmandu, November 12 — The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined slightly on Tuesday after two days of gains. After rising on Sunday and Monday, the market fell by 11.24 points on Tuesday.

The index closed at 2749 points on Tuesday. While the shares of 80 companies increased, the stock prices of 157 companies decreased. The share prices of 7 companies remained unchanged.

On Tuesday, stocks of companies like Gurans Microfinance and Menchhiyam Hydropower saw positive circuit breakers.

Meanwhile, the share price of Goodwill Finance Limited decreased by 9.36 points. However, Goodwill Finance maintained the top position in terms of trading volume, with a total of NPR 292.8 million worth of shares being bought and sold.

On Tuesday, a total of 312 companies traded 16.7 million shares, with a total turnover of NPR 7.859 billion. The Finance sub-index saw the highest growth, increasing by 1.12%.
