Global IME Bank partners with University of Innsbruck to promote sustainable housing technologies
Kathmandu, October 20 — Global IME Bank has signed an agreement with the University of Innsbruck, Austria, under the Switch Asia Grant Program, with financial support from the European Union.
This partnership aims to promote energy-efficient technologies and practices for sustainable building construction through the Building Energy Efficiency in Nepal (BEEN) project.
The agreement was signed by Asim Karmacharya, the bank's Head of Green and Sustainable Banking, and Dr. Daniel Neher, the project lead representing the University of Innsbruck.
Global IME Bank has been implementing a special loan scheme called "Green Home Loan" to promote sustainable housing.
According to the bank, this agreement will enhance technical capacity and support the promotion of sustainable and energy-efficient buildings.
