Three Arrested in Three Districts for Rape

Kathmandu. Police have arrested three people in three different districts of Nepal on charges of rape. Police have taken the accused under control based on separate complaints of rape in Kanchanpur, Siraha, and Jhapa. In Kanchanpur, 59-year-old Suka Doude, a resident of Gaun, Ward No. 5 G, Punarbas Municipality, has been arrested on the charge of raping a 13-year-old girl. After a complaint was registered at the police that Doude had raped the girl, a police team from the Area Police Office, Tribhuvanbasti, arrested him on Monday afternoon. Similarly, in Siraha, 35-year-old Dilip Sada, a resident of Ward No. 4, Karjhana Municipality, has been arrested on the charge of raping a 22-year-old woman. After a complaint was filed that Sada had raped the woman, a police team from the Area Police Office, Bandipur, increased its efforts and took him under control last night. Meanwhile, in Jhapa, a youth has been arrested on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl. The arrested person is 29-year-old Pravrinda Raut, a resident of Birtabazar, Ward No. 3, Birtamod Municipality. Based on a complaint that Raut had raped the girl, a police team from the Area Police Office, Anarmani, arrested him on Monday night. Local police offices are conducting further investigations into all three incidents of rape, taking necessary legal action.
