Nepal beats USA in first T20

Kathmandu, October 18 — In an exciting start to the USA tour, Nepal secured a hard-fought victory against the USA by 17 runs at the Texas Grand Prairie Stadium. 

Batting first, Nepal set a competitive total of 164 runs, losing 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

The highlight of the innings was captain Rohit Paudel, who showcased his batting prowess with a commendable 49 runs off just 33 balls, including one six and four fours. Paudel narrowly missed his eighth half-century in T20 internationals, falling short by just one run.

In response, the USA struggled to build momentum and could only manage 147 runs, falling short of the target. Nepal's bowlers played a pivotal role in restricting the USA, ensuring a successful start to their campaign in the tournament.

Dipendra Singh Airee was awarded player of the match. He made significant 28 runs in 17 balls and took 3 wickets by conceding 27 runs.
