Nepal Life Insurance provides relief supplies to flood-affected families
Kathmandu, October 17 — Nepal Life Insurance Company, in coordination with its branches in Okhaldhunga, Dhankuta, and Gurjudhara, has provided relief supplies to flood-affected individuals.
The company has informed that rice, lentils, salt, oil, and soap were distributed to 45 households affected by the floods in the Gauridanda, Jesey, and Patle areas of Molung Rural Municipality, Okhaldhunga. Each family received 30 kilograms of rice, 2 kilograms each of lentils and salt, 2 liters of oil, and 4 bars of soap.
Additionally, food supplies were distributed to 30 displaced households due to flooding in the Jhyaple Khola area. The distribution took place in the presence of local authorities, coordinated by the Gurjudhara sub-branch.
Furthermore, three homes in Trishule Tol, Dhankuta, suffered complete damage, prompting the company to distribute three bundles of roofing sheets and one tent to the affected families in the presence of local officials. The flooding and landslides, resulting from continuous rainfall from September 27 to 29, caused significant damage.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Prabin Raman Parajuli, stated that under its corporate social responsibility program, the company is engaged in various socio-economic transformation activities.
