CPN (Maoist Centre) assigns leadership roles in Sudurpashchim province
Kathmandu, October 16 — The CPN (Maoist Centre) has designated the responsibilities of central committee members working in the Sudurpashchim Province. Provincial In-charge Girirajmani Pokharel outlined the division of responsibilities among leaders for the province, districts, assemblies, departments, and various fronts on Tuesday.
In-charge Pokharel has sent a circular regarding the formation of a three-member task force for central committee members operating in the province, which includes himself, co-in-charge Bina Magar, and standing committee member Khagaraj Bhatta.
Additionally, responsibilities have been assigned to leaders for federal and provincial electoral constituency. For the federal constituency under Kailali, the assignments are as follows: Tilak Bahadur Pariyar for constituency 1, Lal Bahadur Sodari for 2, Krishna Kumar Chaudhary for 3, Lakshiram Acharya for 4, and Om Prakash Pun for 5. Similarly, for Kanchanpur, Deepa Chaudhary has been assigned constituency 1, Nirmala Badal Joshi for 2, and Man Bahadur Sunar for 3.
In Achham, Deepak Bahadur Saud has been assigned constituency 1 and Ram Prasad Timilsina for 2. For Doti, Trilochan Bhatta is responsible, Kunti Joshi for Dadeldhura, Narendra Bahadur Kunwar for Baitadi, Lakshman Datta Joshi for Darchula, Meen Bahadur Kunwar for Bajhang, and Karna Bahadur BK for Bajura. Sudurpashchim Province encompasses 16 federal electoral constituencies and 32 provincial electoral constituencies across its 9 districts.
Furthermore, responsibilities have been allocated across 32 departments in the province to ensure coordination. Leaders responsible for sister organizations and ethnic fronts have also been assigned duties. In light of leader Ganesh Bam's medical treatment, Pokharel has directed all central committee members and leaders of central bodies to contribute a total of NPR 2,000.
