According to Rajiv Pokharel, the Director General of the Department of Transport Management, the decision was made to prioritize passenger vehicles. He stated, "Except for vehicles carrying medicines and vegetables, other large vehicles will remain closed until October 17."
According to the department's decision, large vehicles, including trailers, have been stopped in the Narayangadh and Sauraha areas, as confirmed by SP Naresh Subedi of the Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office in Bagmati.
To facilitate transportation, the department decided to suspend large vehicles, including trailers, from Gatasthapana (October 3) to the Kojagrat Purnima (October 17), except for those carrying essential goods such as food.
In the case of imported freight vehicles, a decision has been made not to stop them if the customs office is open, provided they have the customs declaration and receipts for revenue paid for exported freight vehicles.
