One dead, one injured in Bhaktapur truck-scooter collision

Bhaktapur, November 28 — A road accident at Gatthaghar Chowk in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality–3 this morning resulted in one death and left another person seriously injured.

A scooter heading towards Kathmandu was hit by a truck, seriously injuring Jite Dhaula of Dhaulabasti, Bhaktapur Municipality–5, and killing his wife, Nabina.

Jite is currently undergoing treatment at Nagarik Community Hospital, Gatthaghar.

The police have taken the truck and its driver, Buddha Bahadur Ghalan of Makwanpurgadhi Rural Municipality–4, into custody.
