Gold prices soar to new record
Kathmandu, October 4 — The price of gold has set a new record in the Nepali market. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of hallmark gold reached NPR 161,300 on Friday, marking a new high at the end of the week's trading.
The surge in gold prices during the Dashain festival is attributed to rising prices in the international market, influenced by factors such as the Iran-Israel conflict.
Previously, on September 27, the price of gold in the Nepali market was NPR 161,200. After fluctuating prices, gold was priced at NPR 160,900 per tola on Thursday, indicating an increase of NPR 400 on Friday compared to the previous day.
Additionally, the price of silver also rose on Friday, increasing from NPR 1,950 per tola on Thursday to NPR 1,980 per tola.
