Six-vehicle chain collision in Tanahun leaves four injured

Kathmandu, August 28 — A major accident occurred in Tanahun on Wednesday afternoon involving a chain collision of six vehicles. Four individuals were injured in the incident.

According to the police, the accident took place at Rimalni in Bandipur Rural Municipality along the Prithvi Highway.

The brakes of a passenger bus traveling from Damauli to Dumre failed, causing it to collide with a truck. The bus first struck truck No. Ga 3 Cha 1390, which was traveling in the same direction. After hitting the truck, the bus continued uncontrollably and crashed into a Bolero vehicle (No. Ga 3 Cha 8390), which was also headed in the same direction. The Bolero then collided with another bus (No. Ga 1 Kha 9561), also moving in the same direction.

The chain reaction continued as the bus hit another Bolero (No. Naa 1 Cha 8434), which subsequently collided with a Hiace vehicle (No. Naa 2 Kha 3789).

The injured individuals include 24-year-old Nabaraj Gole, the driver of the Bolero (No. Ga 3 Cha 8390), 59-year-old Devilal Kandel, 49-year-old Bimala Kandel, and 46-year-old Nirtarikh Babu, the co-driver of the Bolero (No. Naa 1 Cha 8434).

All the injured are receiving treatment at Lakshmi Hospital in Dumre, according to the police.
