25 parties registered for local level by-polls

Kathmandu, October 6 — A total of 25 parties, including the Rashtriya Swotantra Party (RSP), have registered for the local level by-elections.

These parties have been registered in accordance with the constitution for the by-elections scheduled for Sunday, December 1.

The Election Commission had previously called for party registration from September 26 to October 2, during which 26 political parties submitted applications

 According to this, 25 political parties that completed the legal formalities have been registered as per Sub-Rule (4) of Rule 17 of the Political Party Regulations, 2074, as informed by spokesperson Narayan Prasad Sapkota.

The fourth largest party in Parliament is participating in the local elections for the first time.
