One killed in Jajarkot jeep accident; 14 injured

Surkhet, August 6: An accident involving a Bolero jeep in Jajarkot has claimed the life of 34-year-old Man Bahadur Oli, a driver from Gangatiya of Bheri Municipality-6.

 The incident occurred today at 3 PM when the double-cab Bolero jeep, with the registration number Ga 1 Ja 7711, was en route from Khanalga to Neta of Bheri Municipality-6. The vehicle veered off the road leading to Oli's death and injuring 14 passengers, all from the same village.

Among the injured are 28-year-old Sapna BK, 35-year-old Bhumika Shahi, 19-year-old Durga Pun, 19-year-old Bindu Shahi, 55-year-old Moti Luhar, 17-year-old Sita Pun, 21-year-old Dhansara Khadka, and 80-year-old Kaliman Khatri. Additionally, 28-year-old Bhumikala Rana, her 4-month-old son Prajwalan Gharti, 36-year-old Kalpana Khatri, 33-year-old Asmita Khatri, 31-year-old Parvati Upadhyay, and 40-year-old Hira Sarki were also injured in the accident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Purushottam Prasad Pandey from the Jajarkot District Police Office informed that the jeep plunged 400 meters from the road.
