Man dies in Palpa explosion, two others injured

Butwal, December 20 — A man has died and two others have been injured in an explosion while making explosive materials for fishing in Palpa’s Tinau Rural Municipality-2.
The explosion occurred on Friday during the preparation of the materials using a matchstick's tip.
Suraj Somai, 28, from the same area, died in the explosion, while 21-year-old Kosish Bhujel and 28-year-old Kushal Bhujel, both from Rupandehi’s Tilottama Municipality-4, sustained injuries.
According to the District Police Office of Palpa, Somai passed away during treatment in Butwal.
The other two are being treated in Butwal. DSP Sunil Malla from the Palpa Police stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
