Newly appointed province chiefs sworn-in

Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the three newly appointed province chiefs in a ceremony held at the Presidential Office, Sheetal Niwas on Thursday.

The ceremony was attended by the Vice President, Prime Minister, Speaker, Chairman of the National Assembly and other high ranking government officials.

The cabinet meeting held on Monday recommended the President to appoint Deepak Prasad Devkota of Kailali, Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar of Rolpa and Yagya Raj Joshi of Bajhang to be appointed as the provincial chiefs of Bagmati, Lumbini and Karnali provinces respectively.
