President Paudel approves army deployment

Kathmandu, November 24 — President Ram Chandra Paudel has approved the deployment of the army for the upcoming local-level by-elections.

On Sunday, the approval was granted as per the decision of the Council of Ministers to ensure the elections scheduled for December 1 are conducted securely, fearlessly, fairly, and peacefully.

A statement issued by the President's Office mentioned that President Paudel granted the approval in accordance with Article 66 (2) of Nepal's Constitution.
