Kathmandu: It has been decided by the Parliamentary Investigation Special Committee on the Misuse of Cooperative Savings Fund to ask cooperatives connected to Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane for documentation.

The committee resolved to follow its procedural norms and request documentation from nine cooperatives listed under Schedule 2 during a meeting on Wednesday.
Ideal Yamuna Multi-Purpose Society, Image Savings and Loan Cooperative Society Ltd., Sahara Savings & Credit Cooperative, Equitable Savings and Loan Cooperative, Sano Paila Savings & Credit Cooperative, Supreme Savings & Credit Cooperative, Suryadarshan Savings & Credit Cooperative, Sumeru Savings & Credit Cooperative, and Swarnalakshmi Savings & Credit Cooperative are among the cooperatives that are scheduled for investigation under Schedule II.

The committee's member of parliament for the Rashtriya Swotantra Party, Shishir Khanal, said that the next steps in the procedure will start as soon as the cooperating documents are received.

"We have made the decision to ask for the documents. We'll move forward after we have all the paperwork," Khanal said.
