Israel ambassador made a courtesy call on minister Chaudhary, release of Bipin Joshi from Hamas captivity discussed

Israeli Ambassador to Nepal, Hanan Godar, had a courtesy meeting today with Bhagwati Chaudhary, Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens.

During the visit to the Ministry, Minister Chaudhary highlighted the longstanding diplomatic ties between Nepal and Israel since 1960, characterized by friendship, harmony, understanding, and cooperation.

Acknowledging Israel's advancements in agriculture, she encouraged their involvement in Nepal's agricultural development. Minister Chaudhary also expressed gratitude for Israel's support in various areas such as scholarships, employment, and agricultural cooperation, affirming that the relationship between Nepal and Israel will continue to thrive through mutual assistance.

She particularly appreciated Israel's efforts in providing job opportunities to Nepalese youth, especially women, in the caregiver service sector.

In the meeting, Ambassador Godar expressed optimism about the imminent release of Bipin Joshi and mentioned plans to visit Joshi's family on Sunday.

Highlighting the need for Israel to learn from Nepal's achievements in promoting equality, empowerment, and women's participation in decision-making, Ambassador Godar pledged to initiate collaborative efforts to explore more opportunities.

He also commended the significant contribution of Nepali workers, particularly female caregivers, to Israel's development, noting that 70 percent of caregivers are women.
