Murder motive: Love proposal rejection suspected
KATHMANDU: Authorities have unveiled the alleged perpetrator behind the Tare Bhir murder case.
Susma Lama, an 18-year-old student in grade 12, was tragically found buried after being murdered in Tare Bhir of Shivapuri National Park on March 8.
Rupendra Lama, 21, a resident of Gokarneshwor Municipality-2, was apprehended by the Valley Crime Investigation Office on Friday night in connection with Susma Lama's murder.
Initial investigations suggest that the motive behind the heinous act may be linked to a rejected love proposal, as stated by the police.
Susma, a student at Budhanilkantha Secondary School, was allegedly followed by the accused, Rupendra, for eight days before the fatal incident occurred.
According to authorities, Susma was suspected to have been murdered on February 5 while on her way to school.
The post-mortem report indicates that Susma was choked to death, and her body was buried by the accused following the crime.
