Indian envoy Puri focuses on Nepal's hydropower development
Kathmandu, Indian ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri has said that hydropower was a major potential of development in Nepal.
Speaking at a programme organized by Nepal Council of World Affairs on 'Nepal-India Relations and Future Perspective' in Lalipur today, envoy Puri said that the tourism was the major source of attracting foreign currency therefore Nepal should prioritize it.
He further opined for modernizing the agro sector to lessen the trade deficit. On another note, the Indian Ambassador said the recent visit of Indian External Minister Sushma Swaraj to Nepal was to congratulate Nepal and Nepali leaders for successfully conducting three-tier of election in Nepal.
The council chair Hemanta Kharel, vice chair Umesh Bahadur Malla, general secretary Asim Thapa among others spoke on multifaceted Indo-Nepal relations.
