ACC Premier Cup: Nepal gives Kuwait 281 runs' target

KATHMANDU, April 29: In the ACC Premier Cup semi-final match against Kuwait, Nepal made 281 runs at the loss of 9 wickets. The match was cut short to 42 overs after it was affected by rain. Kuwait has got a target of 281 runs based on Duckworth Lewis.

Captain Rohit Paudel became the hero for Nepal scoring 94 runs off 94 balls. Paudel hit 7 fours and 3 sixes before getting out in the 41st over.

Openers Kushal Bhurtel and Ashif Shaikh shared a 77-run partnership by scoring runs at a fast pace. But After Bhurtel was out after scoring 43 runs in 39 balls, Nepal lost three wickets with a gap of 3 runs. Bhim Sarki was out after scoring only one run, and soon Sheikh was also out after scoring 31 runs.

Then, Captain Paudel and Kushal Malla handled Nepal's innings. After rain fell in the 24th over of the match, the over of the match was shortened. Malla was dismissed with 57 runs off 44 balls hitting 4 fours and 4 sixes during the process.
