Government Allocates NPR 109.65 Billion to Seven Provinces for Fiscal Year 2083/84

Kathmandu. The government has published the final allocation of the budget to be transferred to all seven provinces for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. According to the report of the Ministry of Finance, the seven provinces will receive a total of 109 billion 65 crore 35 lakh rupees through grants under various four headings.

This year, Madhesh Province has received the largest share in financial transfer. The government has allocated a total of 17 billion 59 crore 87 lakh rupees for Madhesh Province. Koshi Province has received a share of 16 billion 47 crore 10 lakh rupees.

Similarly, Sudurpashchim Province will receive a budget equivalent to 16 billion 1 crore 47 lakh rupees, while 15 billion 21 crore 48 lakh rupees has been secured for Bagmati Province. Lumbini Province will receive a financial transfer of 14 billion 41 crore 76 lakh rupees for the upcoming fiscal year.

Karnali Province, considered geographically remote, will receive a budget of 17 billion 20 crore 82 lakh rupees, while Gandaki Province has received the least budget among the seven provinces. The government has allocated only 12 billion 72 crore 85 lakh rupees for Gandaki Province.
