RCB cruise to 8-wicket victory over MI in TATA IPL 2023 match

KATHMANDU, April 3: In the fifth match of TATA IPL 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians by eight wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

Batting first, Mumbai Indians scored 171/7 in their 20 overs, thanks to Tilak Varma's quickfire innings of 65 off 33 balls.

Royal Challengers Bangalore chased down the target comfortably with eight wickets and 22 balls to spare. Faf du Plessis (73 off 43) and Virat Kohli (82* off 49 balls) set the stage on fire with a 148-run opening partnership off 89 balls.

David Willey, Sonu Yadav, Mahipal Lomror, Suyash Prabhudessai, and Anuj Rawat were the substitutes for Royal Challengers Bangalore, while Jason Behrendorff, Vishnu Vinod, Ramandeep Singh, Shams Mulani, and Sandeep Warrier were the substitutes for Mumbai Indians.

Mohammed Siraj bowled brilliantly in the powerplay, conceding just five runs and taking a wicket.
