Nepal thrashes PNG by nine wickets

KATHMANDU, March 13: Nepal on Monday beat  Papua New Guinea (PNG) by nine wickets in the third match of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2.

Earlier, winning the toss, Nepal had elected to bowl first. Sandeep Lamichhane, star bowler, of Nepal took five wickets restricting PNG to 95 runs in loss of all wickets in 32 overs.

In response, Nepal chased down the target in 7.4 overs in a loss of one wicket.

With this win, the total score of Nepal stands at 38 playing 35 matches. If Nepal wins one more game, the team will be directly qualified for the World Cup.
