Age limitation disqualifies Ranjita Shrestha from vice presidential candidacy
KATHMANDU, March 10: Ranjita Shrestha, the Chairperson of Nagarik Unmukti Party, has been deemed ineligible to run for the position of vice president in Nepal.
The party had initially planned to nominate Shrestha for the role, but it has been revealed that she does not meet the minimum age requirement of 45 years.
As per Nepalese law, candidates for the position of vice president must be at least 45 years old, while Shrestha is only 39 years old.
