Singer Sudip Giri objects to re-record of his song: 'Tutnu Thiyo Tutyo Mutu'

"Tutnu thiyo tutyo mutu, aba joddina..."

This song from 20 years ago is one of the popular songs in Nepal. Sudip Giri is the singer, composer as well as lyricist of this song. But recently, this song has been re-recorded, along with a music video.

Upon this, the singer Sudip Giri expressed his serious objection. He expressed his dissatisfaction when a company called Rebel Creation re-recorded the song. He has spoken about this openly on his Facebook account and informed that he will find a solution against Rebel Creation owner Gagan Pradhan and singer Indra Manandhar according to the law of Nepal.

He wrote on Facebook, "Tutnu Thiyo Tutyo Mutu" is a song that everyone likes, which was recorded 20 years ago on Music Records KTM, and released by a company called Rebel Creation in 2060. But I never sold the copyright to this company and strongly object to the fact that this company re-recorded and released the video without my knowledge.'

In addition to this, he has added, "I declare that I am the owner of my intellectual property and have not sold the copyright of my intellectual property to any company."

He has warned that he will take legal action against this, saying, "I strongly condemn from the bottom of my heart the cheap and low effort of trying to make money and get cheap popularity by stealing my original song and re-recording it in my own way with the collusion of Rebel Creation owner Gagan Pradhan and singer Indra Manandhar. I will also find a solution for this according to the law of Nepal."

In the end, he wrote, "I would also like to remind you that the right to evaluate such low-level behavior is in the hands of you music lovers."

Sudeep's Facebook post has also been shared by Swapnil Sharma, vocalist of The Shadows Nepal and Swar Project. He shared Giri's post and wrote, "An artist shouts like this, in the end, it doesn't take any skill and it gets lost!!! But what really happens here??'

He added, "Sudeep Giri, this song was and always is your property, so fight for it. And Gagan Pradhan Dai, you should be ashamed."
