Single bench of Justice Hari Phuyal to hear the case filed in SC demanding an interim order to authenticate citizenship bill

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: A single bench of Hari Prasad Phuyal is scheduled to conduct the hearing of the case filed at the Supreme Court (SC) demanding an interim order to authenticate the citizenship bill on Sunday.

As many as five writ petitions have been filed at the apex court after President Bidya Devi Bhnadari refused to authenticate the citizenship bill passed by both the lower and upper houses of parliament.

The petitioners have maintained that it is against the Constitution not to authenticate any bill that is passed by both the lower and upper house.
