Meeting of impeachment recommendation committee begins
KATHMANDU, Aug 31: A meeting of the impeachment recommendation committee is currently holding a meeting at Singha Durbar.
Earlier in February, as many as 98 lawmakers of Congress, Maoist Center and CPN (Unified Socialist) registered the motion at the Parliament Secretariat. Following the registration, an Impeachment Recommendation Committee was also formed.
The meeting is scheduled to record the statement of suspended CJ Rana and Rana has also reached at Singha Durbar accordingly.
The 11-member committee includes four lawmakers of UML, two each of Nepali congress and CPN (Maoist Center), and one each of CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party and Loktantrik Samajbadi Party.
The committee can record statements of both CJ Rana and those who registered the motion.
