Nepal records 623 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Nepal recorded 623 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 4,945 people had undergone COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours, of them 243 PCR tests and 377 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the disease.

There are currently 5,024 active cases of COVID-19 across the country.

Similarly, as many as 487 people who had earlier tested positive for the virus recovered in the past 24 hours while 10,990 people received COVID-19 vaccines.
