Citizenship bill returned by Prez Bhandari presented at HoR meeting File

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: The Citizenship Act Amendment bill, earlier returned by President Bidya Devi Bhandari to the parliament calling for a review, has been presented at the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting on Thursday.

Earlier on Sunday, President Bidya Devi Bhandari had returned the Citizenship Act Amendment bill endorsed by both the lower and upper house calling for a review as per Article 113 (3) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Deliberations on the bill are currently underway at the parliament.
