Ruling alliance decides to scrap electoral alliances forged with UML at local levels
KATHMANDU, April 27: The ruling alliance has decided to scrap the electoral alliances forged with the main opposition party, CPN-UML, at various local levels across the country for the upcoming local level polls.
A meeting of the ruling alliance held earlier this morning at the Prime Minister’s Office Residence at Baluwatar took a decision to this effect.
Earlier, news of electoral alliances forged with UML by members of the ruling alliance were reported in various news media.
“The members of the ruling alliance will not forge any sort of alliance for local polls with any other parties except member parties. If there are any, it is to be scrapped immediately,” reads the press statement issued by the coalition.
