Know how the ruling alliance divide up leadership of metropolis and sub-metropolis

KATHMANDU, April 19: The members of the ruling alliance have finalized the distribution of seats at the metropolis and sub-metropolis across the country for the upcoming local level polls.

Metropolitan Cities:

Nepali Congress : Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Biratnagar

CPN (Maoist Center) : Bharatpur 

CPN (Unified Socialist) : Pokhara

Janata Samajbadi Party : Birgunj

Likewise, the Nepali Congress has been given a seat of deputy-mayor in the metropolitan cities where the CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajbadi Party will field candidates for mayor.

Similarly, CPN (Unified Socialist) will field a candidate for the post of deputy mayor in Kathmandu, Janata Samajbadi Party in Biratnagar and CPN (Maoist Center) in Lalitpur.

Sub- Metropolitan Cities

Nepali Congress : Butwal, Tulsipur, Itahari, Dharan, Kalaiya, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi

CPN (Maoist Center) : Gohari, Jitpur Simara

CPN (Unified Socialist) : Hetauda

Janata Samajbadi Party : Janakpurdam

Likewise, the Nepali Congress will field candidates for the post of deputy maror in Janakpur, Hetauda, Jitpur Simara and Gohari sub-metropolis while the posts of deputy mayors in Dharan have been granted to CPN (Maoist Center).

Similarly, the CPN (Unified Socialist) will be fielding candidates for the post of deputy maror in Itahari, Butwal, Butwal and Tulsipur while the posts of deputy mayors in Kalaiya have been granted to Janata Samajbadi Party.

The ruling coalition is yet to make a decision on division of the post of deputy mayors in Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi sub-metropolis.
