Monetary aid to cancer patients

Gaighat,  Cancer patient Gopal Prasad Khadka of Katari Municipality-3, Udyapur has been provided with monetary assistance of Rs 50 thousands by the Himali Transport Entrepreneurs Association, Katari. 
Association chair Shatrudhan Karki reached Khadka's residence Tuesday to hand over the assistance amount for his treatment. The 30-year-old Khadka is finding it hard to manage funds for treatment of leg cancer. Likewise, his local neighbours recently organised a fund raising campaign to assist in his treatment and provided Rs 100 thousands to him. 
Meanwhile, CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Sudarshan Baral who had won the State Assembly seat from Gulmi has assisted Rs 12,000 to Sharada Ghimire, spouse of journalist Janardan Ghimire. Ms Ghimire is under medication after surgery for breast cancer in India. Journalist Ghimire is the RSS district correspondent and is former chair of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Gulmi chapter.
