Govt announces 19-day holiday in schools across country from tomorrow

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: The government has announced a 19-day holiday in the schools across the country from Tuesday in view of the rising risk of the novel coronavirus disease. 

A meeting held at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on Monday decided to grant a 19-day holiday in all the basic and secondary level schools. With this, the schools will resume on January 29

The ministry made it clear that the holiday will be adjusted in the annual calendar of the educational institutions. 

“During the period, all the students belonging to the age group between 12 and 17 years will have to be vaccinated against the coronavirus disease,” reads the statement issued by the ministry on Monday.
