PM Deuba isolates after Maoist Chair Prachanda contracts COVID-19

Deuba, Prachanda attended ruling alliance's meeting

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has kept him isolated after CPN (Maoist Center) tested positive for the COVID-19. 

According to PM Deuba’s secretariat, he [Deuba] has remained isolated at his official residence in Baluwatar since Saturday afternoon. 

 Prachanda, who participated in a high-level coordination mechanism a couple of days ago along with PM Deuba, contracted the virus during Friday’s test. 

A secretariat member told Ratopati that he [Deuba] decided to isolate himself as per the COVID-19 protocols.

Deuba also held a meeting with CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli on Saturday morning.
