290 new corona cases detected Tuesday, three die

KATHMANDU: Nepal on Tuesday detected as many as 290 new cases of coronavirus disease.
According to the daily update released by the health ministry, the new cases were diagnosed through 17,089 tests carried out in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday afternoon, meaning the positivity rate stood at 1.6 percent.
Meanwhile, 232 other people recovered from the infectious disease taking the recovery rate to 98 percent.
Three COVID-19 patients, however, succumbed to the deadly disease on Tuesday. With this, Nepal’s corona-triggered fatality tally has reached 11,577.
As of Tuesday, there are a total of 5,242 active cases all across the country.
