Voting to elect Maoist’s Bagmati Province’s office bearers to be held today

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) is holding elections for various office bearer positions of the party’s executive committee in Bagmati Province on Monday evening. 

According to the party’s election commission, the election process kicked off at 3:30 PM earlier today [Monday]. 

The final name list of the candidates will be published at 5:50 PM after completing all the procedures including claims and complaints. 

The voting will kick off at 5:55 PM. 

As many as 275 voters will participate in the voting to elect the new provincial executive committee. 

The province is holding an election for the province's new leadership as more than three aspirants stake claim to the provincial chairperson. 

The party is holding its national conferences from December 26 to 28 in Kathmandu.

Earlier, ward, local and provincial level conferences were held on various dates. The leadership in the shell, ward and local level were chosen unopposed.
