NC GC UPDATE: 50 pc vote counted, Deuba crosses 1500-mark

KATHMANDU:
With 2,963 votes being counted, Sher Bahadur Deuba is still leading the vote count for the president of the Nepali Congress with a total of 1,788 votes.
Deuba’s sole opponent, Dr Shekhar Koirala has garnered 1,151 votes.
Of the 4,564 votes cast, 24 have been invalidated.
