Leftist candidate Budha wins State Assembly poll in Dolpa 1 (A)

 

Dunai, Dolpa,The leftist alliance has won the State Assembly election in the Dolpa constituency no 1 (A). 
Leftist alliance candidate Nanda Singh Budha of CPN (UML) became victorious in the election by securing 5,490 votes, confirmed the Office of Chief District Election Officer, Dolpa. The vote counting that began at 9:30 am last night concluded this morning. The vote counting of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assemblies elections that were held in two phases on November 26 and December 7 commenced (though not all) yesterday. 
Budha's nearest rival Begam Singh Thakuri of Nepali Congress finished the race with 1,213 votes. The total number of voters in the district was 8,243 and 6,786 voters took part in the election while 85 votes were declared invalid, the Office said.
