UML’s Nepal faction at odds as Chairman Oli calls CWC meeting unilaterally
KATHMANDU, April 19: The ruling CPN-UML has called a central working committee meeting for 1 PM on Monday. The meeting is scheduled to be held at Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
According to Sher Bahadur Tamang, a central committee member shared that the meeting will dwell on various political issues. “The meeting will take necessary decisions on political reports and work division for the party’s general convention,” he added.
A faction of the party close to senior leaders duo Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal is at odds with Chairman KP Oli as the latter ‘unilaterally’ called the meeting.
The leaders of the faction reached the Election Commission on Sunday afternoon seeking immediate decision regarding the dispute floated in the party of late.
