NC leader Rajbhandari bereaved of mother

Kathmandu - Nepali Congress leader and lawmaker Dibya Mani Rajbhandari has been bereaved of his mother. His mother Tanka Kumari Rajbhandari passed away on Saturday night at the age of 90. She died amidst the treatment at the Dhumbarahi-based Hams Hospital. Tanka Kumari, a permanent resident of Bhimeshwor Municipality-2, Dolakha was staying at Mandikhatar, Kathmandu.

She was spouse of well-known entrepreneur the late Indra Rajbhandari. Tanka Kumari, also the philanthropist, was the former chair of Dwalkha Guthi of Newar community from Dolakha. She is survived by her three daughters: Usha Milan Kashapati, Munna Lakaul and Udaya Rajbhandari and two sons: Dibya Mani and Deep Mani Rajbhandari. Her last rites will be conducted at the Pashupati Aryaghat today itself as per the Hindu rituals, it is said.
