Controlling coronavirus infection is main priority of state government: CM Bhatta

Kathmandu - Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim State, Trilochan Bhatta, has said that preventing and controlling the COVID-19 infection spreading as a pandemic across the world is the main priority of the government. In a press meet organized by Press Centre, Doti, at Dipayal Rajpur on Monday, Chief Minister Bhatta said, “The State government has been focusing its attention in prevention and control of coronavirus.

We will defeat the coronavirus at any cost.” He claimed that the coronavirus has not been spread in community-level in the State due to crucial role played by the state government in its prevention and control. Chief Minister Bhatta said, “Probably our state is the first stat keeping 80,000 to 90,000 Nepalis returned from India in quarantine.

We have become successful to curb the spread of COVID-19 infection in community-level as they adopted precaution on time. We will become able to bring the coronavirus infection under control.” He added that cases of coronavirus infected have increased in the state as the federal government did not listen to it.

“We had asked the federal government to seal the borders and allow people entre the country only after PCR test. The federal government did not seal the borders completely. So number of coronavirus infected people has increased,” he opined.
