Civil Hospital Health Services Now Available in Pokhara

Kaski. Health services provided by the Civil Employees Hospital will now also be available from the Western Regional Hospital Pokhara, which is under the Pokhara Health Sciences Academy.

After the agreement with the Civil Employees Hospital, civil employees and their families will receive the discounts and concessions provided by the Civil Employees Hospital in Pokhara, said Sushil Kumar Aryal, Information Officer of the Academy.

“An agreement was reached with the Civil Employees Hospital regarding health treatment a week ago. After completing some management work, we have now started providing services,” said Information Officer Aryal.

Under this arrangement, civil employees and their families will receive OPD, admission, laboratory tests, surgery, and all available hospital services with the facilities and concessions determined by the Civil Employees Hospital. Beneficiaries who have obtained a concession treatment card will be able to avail of the treatment facility.

To avail of the service, the original copy of the treatment concession identity card issued by the Civil Employees Hospital, the identity card of the currently working office, and in the case of retired employees, a copy of the pension passbook must be presented, the Academy has stated.

With the expansion of services, it is believed that the compulsion for civil employees and their families in Gandaki Province and surrounding districts to go to Kathmandu will be reduced, and they will be able to easily access quality health services.

The government had decided to extend the health services of the Civil Hospital to the provinces and signed agreements with hospitals for the convenience of civil employees working and residing outside the Kathmandu Valley, retired employees, and their dependent families.
