Projects worth Rs 3 billion endorsed for Bhimdutta municipality

Kanchanpur– The development projects equivalent to Rs three billion have been selected for the Bhimdutta municipality in Kanchanpur district. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has ensured the concessional loan to implement the projects.

The projects to be implemented under the Regional Urban Development Project are meant for the infrastructure boost up and organisational strengthening at the local level.

They include drainage facilities, urban road construction and waste management. A 36.6 kilometers cemented road with a drainage system will be constructed. According to municipality mayor Surendra Bista, a consensus has been forged for establishing a political unity to make all the projects successful.

Besides this municipality, the Regional Urban Development Project's programmes cover the Dhangadhi sub-metropolis, Godawari municipality and Shuklaphanta municipality in the Far-West State.
