CK Raut-led party defeats JSP in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality

KATHMANDU, May 18: Janamath Party-led by CK Raut has defeated the Janata Samajbadi Party in Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality of Saptari district in recently held local level polls.
Birendra Maji of the Janamath party has been elected the mayor of the municipality with 6,407 votes.
His nearest contender was Sailesh Shah of JSP who got 6,246 votes.
This is the first win in the Local Level Polls, 2023 for the Janamath Party.
