Demonstration at TU demanding exams postponement

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Students have staged a protest demonstration in front of Tribhuvan University (TU) in Kirtipur demanding all the scheduled examinations be postponed owing to the grappling fear of the novel coronavirus disease.. 

Students, on Monday, reached TU and demanded the authorities postpone the examinations with examinees’ physical presence and introduce an online evaluation system. 

They urged the country’s oldest university to defer the pre-scheduled examinations and evaluate students through alternative methods such as online evaluation. 

It is to be noted that the National Education Board (NEB), on Saturday, postponed the board examinations of Grade 12 sine die amid pressure from students, guardians and all other stakeholders.
