Talks with protesting gas entrepreneurs becoming effective

Kathmandu–nformal talks between the government and the Gas Dealers Association Nepal is advancing towards a consensus, said a talks team member.

The dialogue initiatives were pushed following a protest by gas entrepreneurs putting forth various demands including permission to operate Nepali number plate private gas bullets and an increment in gas commission for gas entrepreneurs.
The dialogues are expected to reach a consensus soon, said executive director of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), Surendra Kumar Poudel.

Meanwhile, on short supply of cooking gas in the market at present, the NOC ruled out the fact, saying there is no as such shortage of cooking gas.
