Price of gold reaches new high, hits Rs 139,200 per tola
KATHMANDU: The price of gold has soared to unprecedented levels in the domestic market, setting a new record today.
Hallmark gold is currently being traded at Rs 139,200 per tola (11.66 grams), marking a significant increase of Rs 1,700 per tola compared to Monday's rate.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silvers Dealers' Association reported that the price of hallmark gold stood at Rs 137,500 per tola on Monday, indicating a notable surge in just a day.
Similarly, worked gold is also experiencing a notable increase, being traded at Rs 138,500 per tola today. Meanwhile, the price of silver has been fixed at Rs 1,750 per tola by the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (NEGOSIDA).
The surge in gold prices underscores the current volatility in the precious metals market, prompting investors and consumers to closely monitor price fluctuations.
