Inland Revenue Office collects Rs 2.26 billion in revenue

Hetauda– The Inland Revenue Office, Makawanpur, has collected more than Rs 2.26 billion in revenue during the first six months of the current fiscal year. 


According to the Office, the highest amount of revenue was collected under the title of excise duty. The Office received Rs 1.37 billion in revenue from excise duty. 


Chief of the Inland Revenue Office, Makawanpur, Basanta Dhakal said that Rs 420 million was collected from income tax, Rs 330 million from VAT while interest tax contributed Rs 2.55 million in the revenue during the first six months of the current fiscal year. 


Likewise, Gorkha Lahari Industry in Hetauda Industrial Estate submitted the highest amount of tax with Rs 619 million while Asian Paints Pvt. Ltd. Paid Rs 269 million. 


According to the information shared by the Office, Nepal Brewery paid Rs 229 million, Rs 112 million from Unilever and Rs 80 million plus from Shivam Cements.
